Hanford man dies after collision with big rig
A 22-year-old Hanford man driving a Honda was killed in a collision with a Peterbilt big rig Thursday afternoon near Hanford, the California Highway Patrol reported.
About 4:32 p.m., the Honda driver was southbound on 14th Avenue approaching Fargo Avenue. The CHP said Mario Duran, 53, of Corcoran was northbound on 14th and made a left-hand turn in front of the Honda. The Honda struck the right front of the Peterbilt.
The Honda driver was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died. His identity was withheld pending notification of family.
