Investigators seek help to identify truck in Cuesta fire
Investigators in San Luis Obispo County are asking for the public’s help to locate a person of interest who may have information regarding the cause of the recent Cuesta fire north of San Luis Obispo.
The person was last seen driving a white crew cab dually pickup, which was towing a fifth wheel RV and a Volkswagen Beetle. The driver may have headed to Fresno County, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The Cuesta fire began on Aug. 16 off Highway 101, north of San Luis Obispo, and has burned 2,446 acres. The fire is 85% contained. Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or knows information about the driver is asked to call the arson hotline at (800) 468-4408 and reference the “Cuesta fire.”
