Just two months after firefighters discovered two people dead inside a downtown Fresno utility vault, crews responded to another fire at the same location Saturday.

Firefighters with the Fresno Fire Department were dispatched to the area of Fresno and H streets, where they found a debris fire burning inside the vault.

Fresno Fire Department spokesperson Josh Sellers said firefighters entered the vault and confirmed no one was inside.

No injuries were reported.

Sellers said the fire is believed to have been caused by unhoused individuals using the vault.
