We’re bolstering our reporting team. Meet the new faces at The Fresno Bee
Two new journalists have joined The Fresno Bee this month as we continue to add reporting power to our local newsgathering efforts for Fresno and Central Valley readers.
David Taub
David Taub, a longtime Fresno resident and Central Valley journalist, starts Monday, May 18, as our new civic watchdog reporter, adding another skilled hand to our growing team of local government accountability reporters.
David has deep experience covering local government across Fresno County and expertise as a watchdog reporter holding power to account in city hall and other local agencies. He brings multiple media skills and vast experience in broadcast and online journalism, adding his skills to our robust digital and video presence.
He grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended the University of Michigan. After graduation, David returned to California, first working in media on the Central Coast and then moving to the Fresno area in 2007. He worked for 10 years at GV Wire, a local online news outlet.
In his spare time, he works stats for the Fresno Grizzlies and Fresno State basketball and football TV broadcasts.
Hana Tilksew
Clovis resident Hana Tilksew started a 10-week news reporting internship with The Fresno Bee this week. She’s one of two Bee interns this summer; the other starts in late June.
Hana grew up in Clovis and attended Clovis East High School before gaining acceptance to Yale University, where she is a rising junior.
When in school, Hana writes for the Yale Daily News and will be an editor for the publication in the fall. She has also written in the past for Fresno City College’s newspaper, The Rampage.
