Mayor Jerry Dyer mourns his mother less than two months after losing father
Less than two months after laying his father to rest, Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer is now mourning the loss of his mother, Anna Lea Dyer, who died Tuesday morning, Dyer announced on social media.
The mayor said his mother died in her sleep after she combatted health issues for years. She was 87 years old.
“I know you are in the loving arms of Jesus and reunited with dad in heaven. Rest in peace,” Dyer wrote.
Dyer’s father, Don Dyer, died on March 17 at the age of 87. The mayor honored his father’s memory through a series of social media posts.
“Losing a parent isn’t easy, but I never realized how hard it would be,” Dyer wrote in a post following his father’s funeral on April 1.
