Fundraiser in Fresno to help kids with rare brain condition
A fundraiser will be held Thursday in Fresno to benefit families affected by craniosynostosis, a rare disease that affects the growth of a baby’s brain.
The fundraiser will be led by former Fresno Bee writer Mike Osegueda and his wife Tanya Osegueda.
Last year, the couple’s youngest son had skull surgery at age 6 months because of craniosynostosis.
The surgery was needed to allow for the infant’s brain to grow, to make sure he didn’t go blind and to help his brain grow in a normal shape.
The fundraiser will be at Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co. at 5 p.m.
