The collision happened at 2:30 p.m. in front of Edison High on California Street, near Kern Street.

Fresno Police Lt. Tim Tietjen said how the collision happened is still being investigated, but it appears one rider pulled out in front of the other, causing the man to crash and hit his head on the street.

The man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

Tietjen said the other rider was a juvenile and was not injured, and neither rider was wearing a helmet.
