Two men, one stabbed, other unconscious, found in road after suspected fight in Fresno

Officers found a stabbing victim and an unconscious man lying in a Fresno road on Thursday night, after they apparently had a confrontation and sent each other to the hospital, police said.

Fresno police Lt. Marcus Gray said officers responded to a call at McKenzie and Blackstone avenues around 11 p.m. The initial report was of a bloodied male lying in the street, and officers found another man lying unconscious nearby as well.

Gray said the men appear to have been in a physical confrontation. Police say one of the men was stabbed in the torso while the other was knocked out.

The man who was stabbed was stable, while the one who was knocked unconscious was in critical condition.

Police are investigating why the altercation occurred.
