Lottery player wins $2 million in Fresno. Where was scratchers ticket sold?

One lucky Fresno lottery player is a multi-millionaire after spending $20 on a scratchers ticket, according to lottery officials.

The lucky player won $2 million with an Instant Prize Crossword Scratchers ticket, the California State Lottery said in a Wednesday, April 8, news release.

Where was winning lottery ticket sold in Fresno?

According to lottery officials, Saly Phachanh bought the winning Instant Prize Crossword Scratchers ticket at Country Store Food & Liquor, 5187 E Kings Canyon Road in Fresno.

The odds of winning the top prize of $2 million are one in 1,233,167.

Scratchers players score big in California

Phachanh wasn’t the only lucky scratchers winner, according to lottery officials.

Lori Rico won $2 million after purchasing an Instant Prize Crossword Scratchers ticket at Hanshaw Liquor, 3022 E. Chapman Ave. in Orange, the release said.

Meanwhile, a Lompoc resident won $7 million after buying a $30 Crossword Xtreme Scratchers at a local liquor store, The Tribune previously reported.

How California State Lottery scratchers game works

The California State Lottery offers more than 50 scratchers games throughout the year, with new games launching every month.

Instant Prize Crossword Scratchers players get two separate play grids and a Fast $100 Spot for up to three chances to win per game, according to lottery officials.

Two secret puzzle multipliers can multiply prizes by up to 50 times.

It costs $20 to play the Scratchers game, with cash prizes ranging from $25 to $2 million.
