  • Incident near Ferger and Olive avenues ended with animal reunited with owner.

It’s not often that an officer with the Fresno Police Department gets to chase down a pig.

That is exactly what happened on Sunday in the Tower District. While it wasn’t much of a leg bail (a term police use for pursuing someone on foot), an officer searched for the pig in the area of Ferger and Olive avenues.

It didn’t take long for the officer to track down the pig and detain the hog.

The officer said he had to “take this” call.

The officer captured the pig and placed it in the back of the patrol vehicle before reuniting it with its owner nearby.
