Amtrak driver shot at by homeless man, Fresno police say

An Amtrak driver was shot at while cleaning inside the bus at the Downtown Fresno station.

Police say the incident happened about midnight Tuesday at the Amtrak station near Tulare Street and Santa Fe Avenue.

The driver was cleaning inside the bus after the passengers left when a homeless male shot into the bus, police say.

A bullet grazed the bus driver before the suspect fled.

Police say the driver was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
