Incident involving kids playing with fire indoors leads to hospitalization in Fresno
One person was hospitalized with serious burns after an incident involving children playing with fire, authorities said.
Fresno fire spokesperson Joshua Sellers said firefighters responded to the incident around 6:20 a.m. Friday at University Village Apartments near Barstow and Cedar avenues.
The report was of a building on fire, but Sellers said responders determined juveniles had been playing with fire inside an apartment unit.
Two people were burned, and one was transported to the hospital for serious burn injuries. Their condition is unknown.
