Fresno City College campus remains partially closed to repair water line damage

Parts of the Fresno City College campus will remain closed Wednesday for repairs to the water lines that were damaged Sunday in a two-vehicle crash.

The campus announced Tuesday that it replaced its main water lines, and awaited testing results.

The western portion of the campus will remain closed Wednesday.

Portions of the eastern half will be open, including the new science building, child development center and health sciences building.

The community college’s water lines were damaged after a two-vehicle collision around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Weldon and Maroa avenues and resulted in one car being left nearly on top of the other.

No injuries were reported.
