Man killed in Fresno County crash ID’d. Authorities suspect alcohol impairment
The man killed after driving off the road just south of Prather has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Michael Williams, 72, of Auberry.
The single-vehicle crash happened Monday afternoon near the intersection of Auberry Road and Corlew Mountain Road.
The California Highway Patrol says Williams veered off the road before large rocks and lost control of the vehicle before it overturned.
Authorities are still investigating the crash but suspect that alcohol impairment may have played a role.
