A two-vehicle collision at Fresno City College on Sunday sheared off water lines, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Weldon Avenue near Maroa Avenue where one vehicle was left nearly on top of the other at the location of the damaged water lines.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

No injuries were reported, authorities said.

Fire crews said they had to shut off the water lines.

In an update late Sunday, the college said the crash caused severe damage to the main college water lines in Parking Lot K, located behind the Old Administration Building.

“As a result, much of the Fresno City College campus will be closed on Monday, February 2 while the damage is assessed and addressed,” Fresno City spokesperson Cris Monahan Bremer said.
