Afternoon traffic snarled when truck overturns on Highway 99 in Fresno, CHP says

A minor-injury crash snarled traffic Friday afternoon when a truck overturned in the lanes of Fresno’s Highway 99, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The reason for the crash was not immediately clear, but the truck came to rest on its roof about 2:36 p.m. on the northbound side of Highway 99 near Olive Avenue, CHP said.

Traffic was backed up to the Highway 41 turnoff, according to CHP. Drivers in the area should be prepared to low and stop while crews work to clear the roadway.
