A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 41 on Thursday night outside of Lemoore that left two other people with minor and moderate injuries, California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported at 9:44 p.m. Thursday on northbound 41 at Fremont Avenue.
CHP said the driver of a 2019 Jeep Renegade traveling east on Fremont and, for unknown reasons, continued into the intersection crossing the 41 in front of a 2013 Chrysler 300 traveling north on the highway.
The front of the Chrysler collided into the right side of the Jeep. The woman driving the Jeep sustained fatal injuries while the man driving the Chrysler and his passenger sustained moderate to minor injuries, CHP said.
The driver of the Chrysler was taken to Adventist Medical Center in Hanford and the passenger was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
The identity of the woman was killed has not been released as of Friday.
Alcohol and/or drugs, CHP said, were not suspected to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
