State agencies seeking employees include the California Department of State Hospitals and California Department of Transportation.

Attorney I | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Industrial Relations
  • Salary: $7,506 to $11,676 per month

Under the direction and supervision of the assistant chief counsel, the attorney represents the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health in a wide range of legal issues, including in civil and writ litigation before California trial and appellate courts.

Associate management auditor | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: High-Speed Rail Authority
  • Salary: $6,452. to $8,485 per month

Under the direction of the supervising management auditor, the associate management auditor is responsible for proficiently and independently handling complex, difficult and sensitive inspections as well as evaluations, reviews, audits, and investigations.

The auditor performs engagements to provide oversight of highly technical areas, including the High-Speed Rail Authority’s parametric cost estimates, cost controls, project schedules and risk management.

Chief engineer I | Permanent, full-time

  • Salary: $6,519 to $8,252 per month

Under general direction, the chief engineer leads, directs and works with others in the operation maintenance and repair of the heating and electrical plant and other mechanical and power equipment.

Chief psychiatrist | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: California Correctional Health Care Services
  • Salary: $27,635. to $34,252. per month

The chief psychiatrist is responsible for providing direct assistance to California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation institutions.

That includes the identification and removal of obstacles in order to provide psychiatric services.

The chief psychiatrist also works to make improvements in productivity and quality of care, providing guidance and consultation to the institutions.

Dentist | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Correctional Health Care Services
  • Salary: $19,535 to $30,945 per month

The dentist is responsible for the delivery of dental care, including preventive care, to patients at Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga.

The dentist participates in performance management activities to continuously improve the dental program.

The dentist may delegate appropriate levels of responsibility to the supervising dental assistant.

Information technology associate | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Forestry and Fire Protection
  • Salary: $4,791.00 to $8,485 per month

Under general supervision of the information technology customer services supervisor, the IT associate provides technical support to Cal Fire users, computers and smartphones.

Duties include driving state vehicles to outlying facilities and effect repairs onsite as needed, supporting both networked and stand-alone computers and smartphones.

The IT associate performs the installation of software on both phones and computers, as well as provide support to customers for software purchased and/or developed by the department.

Investigator | Permanent, full-time

Under the direction of the supervising investigator, the investigator works at the training, entry and journey level, conducting complex administrative, criminal, and civil investigations of physicians and surgeons and certain allied health care professionals.

Examples of complex investigations include but are not limited to criminal sexual exploitation of patients, cases involving drug violations, unlicensed practice of medicine, unlicensed corporate practice of medicine, insurance fraud and allegations of practicing medicine while impaired.

Under the direction of a senior construction engineer, the workload engineer is responsible for analyzing and negotiating for project resource allocations, monitoring and updating workload allocations.

The workload engineer also manages the D6 Construction Workload database.

Senior environmental scientist | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Fish and Wildlife
  • Salary: $7,556 to $10,221 monthly

Under the direction of the supervisor environmental scientist, the senior environmental scientist performs scientific analysis work.

That includes scientific investigations and analyses of impacts and proposed mitigation for industrial renewable energy and other complex projects.
