Where can I watch fireworks in Fresno County? Check out these July 4th events

Are you ready for the Fourth of July?

From a Shaver Lake boat parade to a Fresno Grizzlies game and fireworks displays, Fresno-area residents will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate Independence Day in style in 2025.

Here are a few of the fun, family-friendly events in store:

Shaver Lake Fireworks Show and Boat Show

Where: Shaver Lake off Highway 168

When: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 2

Shaver Lake’s annual celebration kicks off with a parade of boats starting from the Sierra and Shaver Lake marinas and heading toward the middle of the lake.

That’s followed by a fireworks display at dusk.

“Make sure to arrive at the lake earlier in the day to get a good viewing spot and parking,” Fresno County said on its website, noting that “parking permits are enforced for day use.”

According to the Shaver Lake Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, the event is entirely funded by donations.

Fresno Grizzlies Firework Extravaganza

Where: Chukchansi Park, 1800 Tulare St., Fresno,

When: 7:05 p.m. Friday, July 4, and 6:50 p.m. Saturday, July 5

Watch the Fresno Grizzlies take on the Modesto Nuts on the Fourth of July before watching what organizers describe as “the most dazzling fireworks display in the Central Valley.”

Baseball fans can also enjoy food trucks, water slides at the Splash Park and exclusive Fourth of July Grizzlies merchandise, the team said.

On Saturday, the Grizzlies honor local health care providers and first responders with a special themed night and post-game fireworks display.

Tickets cost $25.25 to $32.75, and can be bought online via the Fresno Grizzlies website.

Island Waterpark Firework Show

Where: 6099 West Barstow Ave., Fresno

When: 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, and Friday, July 4; fireworks start at to 9:10 p.m.

Float in the Tidal Wave pool or brave the Thrills of Fiji slide at Island Waterpark in Fresno before catching a Fourth of July fireworks show.

You can buy tickets online at IslandWaterpark.com. Day passes cost $44.99 apiece for Thursday and $49.99 per person for Friday.

You can also book a book a cabana for $199 to $499.

Cabanas offer “private space, comfy seating and a break from the sun,” the water park said, making them “the best spot to relax, recharge and celebrate with your crew.”

Clovis Freedom Fest

Where: Lamonica Stadium, Clovis High School, 1055 Fowler Ave., Clovis

When: 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, July 4

Fireworks, food, music and children’s activities are in store at the Clovis Freedom Fest, described by organizers as the community’s “premiere Fourth of July celebration.”

Attendees can bring folding chairs and blankets as well as food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Admission is $5. with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Children 5 years old and under get in free.

Granite Park Celebration

Where: Granite Park, 3950 North Cedar Ave., Fresno,

When: 7 p.m. Friday, July 4. Fireworks start at 9 p.m.

Granite Park event is a full-scale Fourth of July experience complete with a fireworks display and a choreographed aerial drone show, organizers said.

Eventgoers can also enjoy a variety of local food and beverage vendors.

Admission and parking are free.
