Is your teenager looking to earn some extra cash this summer?
Several businesses with locations in Fresno County are hiring part-time employees for seasonal work.
The Fresno Bee looked through online job boards including Indeed and ZipRecruiter to find open positions available to teens.
Here are eight job opportunities in the Fresno area, including descriptions of the available positions and how much they pay
Journey’s
- Location: 591 East Shaw Ave., Fresno
- Pay: $16 to $20 per hour
The teen-oriented retail chain is looking for a sales associate who can work night and weekend shifts and has the ability to climb, reach, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
Candidates should have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Prior retail sales experience is preferred. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Chipotle Mexican Grill
- Location: Multiple locations
- Pay: $20 to $21 per hour
The Mexican fast-casual restaurant chain is looking for a crew member with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude a Passion for helping and serving others and a desire to learn how to cook.
People 16 years old or older are encouraged to apply.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
- Location: 3004 North Blackstone Ave., Fresno
- Pay: Up to $20 per hour
The Southern fast food chain is looking for a cashier.
Duties include greeting guests with a smile while receiving orders and processing payments, and preparing and packaging food and drink products.
The cashier also resolves customer complaints, processes returns and refunds and unloads and stocks inventory items as needed.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Sprouts Farmers Market
- Location: 7477 North Blackstone Ave., Fresno
- Pay: $16.55 to $20.75 per hour
The supermarket chain is hiring a grocery clerk.
Grocery clerks stock shelves, fill frozen foods bins and help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the store.
Grocery clerks also receive product deliveries and ensure delivery accuracy. They’re responsible for rotating merchandise to ensure the freshest product is available for all customers.

College Hunks Hauling and Moving
- Location: 5845 East Terrace Ave., Fresno
- Pay: $17 per hour
The moving company is looking for a professional mover/ driver who goes out of their way to be friendly with clients.
The professional mover/ driver educates clients about pricing and services and makes sure the truck has enough receipts, safety equipment and marketing material.
The professional mover/driver must be able to make logistical decisions about when to dispose donate or recycle an item and how to best complete a job, including packaging items and loading a truck.
Panera Bread
- Location: 6793 North Weber Ave., Fresno
- Pay: $20 to $23 per hour
The bakery chain is hiring a salad and sandwich maker.
Duties include assembling a wide range of menu items and ensuring every order is made quickly, correctly and consistently.
In addition, the salad and sandwich maker must meet speed and accuracy goals as well as step in and support the manager and team.
People 16 years old or older are encouraged to apply.
Wild Water Adventure Park
- Location: 11413 East Shaw Ave., Clovis
- Pay: $16.50 to $17 per hour
The water park is looking for a parking associate.
Responsibilities include directing cars parking in parking areas, controlling guest parking and implementing safe parking practices.
Parking associates must also be able to manage parking and traffic control in assigned areas.
Wild Water Adventure Park is also looking for a lifeguard.
The lifeguard must closely monitor activities in the pool and keep track of each person in the water and around the pool, on the platforms, slide runouts or on the slides.
Other duties include scanning the pool and area for unsafe acts or behavior as well as unsanitary conditions.
Lifeguards also provide safety rule enforcement as well as emergency care and first aid when necessary.
No previous lifeguard experience is needed, as all lifeguards are trained and certified at the water park.
People 16 and up are encouraged to apply for both seasonal positions.
