Man dies in multivehicle crash near Selma involving big rig
A Dinuba man was killed Monday morning in a collision with a flatbed tractor-trailer south of Selma, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The big rig collided with a Honda Accord, then the vehicles careened into the front yard of a home, where the truck knocked down a cement wall, CHP officer Axel Reyes said.
Reyes said the CHP is investigating which vehicle went through a red light in the intersection at Highway 43 and Mountain View Avenue, causing the 9:50 a.m. collision.
The Honda driver, a 30-year-old man from Dinuba, died at the scene. The truck driver, a Manteca man in his 20s, was not injured, Reyes said.
