Looking for a home right out of a fairytale?
A “storybook Tudor cottage” with whimsical rock trim and “beautiful rose-covered arches” was on the real estate market in Fresno as of Tuesday, May 13.
The 1,418-square-foot home recently caught the attention of Reddit’s Zillow Gone Wild community, a real estate subreddit that highlights unique properties for sale around the nation.
Reddit user jve909 shared the listing for the “wildly adorable” home,” calling it “just a little funky” and “perfect for the right princess.”
“(It) looks like the cutest doll house,” the Reddit user wrote.

The home is at 304 East Simpson Ave. in Fresno’s High Roeding neighborhood.
The property is near Hamilton Elementary School and Fresno High School.
What makes Simpson Avenue property special?
Built in 1936 by a skilled mason, the two-bedroom, one-bathroom house features a brick exterior with hand-split river rock trim and details, according to the Zillow listing.
Inside the “lovingly restored” single-family residence, you’ll find “amazing design and architectural details” plus original features such as glass doorknobs, the listing said.
An arched front door leads to a living room with picture windows, arched French doors, fossil limestone flooring and a quartz rock fireplace, the Zillow listing said, while the dining room has white oak floors and a vintage crystal chandelier.
The fully restored kitchen features tile that’s “historically correct for the period,” as well as replica cabinets with original Bakelite and chrome hardware, the listing said. Appliances include a pink stove and a pink refrigerator.

“Everything in the home has been restored to the original time period,” listing agent Jo-Linda L. Garud, broker associate with Valley Harvest Properties, told The Fresno Bee. “The owner still has the original stove and front door in the garage as well.”
She described the home as “meticulously cared for and taken care of.”
Asked what makes the property special, Garud replied, “The peace and joy that can be found in the garden and the preserved history.”
The Simpson Avenue home was featured on the cover of Cottages and Bungalows magazine, the listing said.

The property is listed for $455,000, with Zillow estimating the market value at $446,000.
It’s been on the market since April 17, Garud said.
“(With) too many vintage details to list, this charming cottage won’t last long!” the Zillow listing said.
