Brush fire closes Highway 180 onramps from northbound Highway 99

Fresno firefighters are currently mopping up a small brush fire that ignited in a patch of dead grass next to the right lane of northbound Highway 99 and the Highway 180 on-ramps.

As of 1:45 p.m. Saturday, the onramps to westbound and eastbound Highway 180 from northbound Highway 99 were closed. Traffic was slowed slightly due to some smoke impairing visibility.

It was not known when the ramps would reopen.
