A Tulare County couple faces additional charges of child endangerment after three children tested positive for cocaine, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

Ashley Flores, 29, and Casey Willbanks, 32, now face three counts of child endangerment, one count for each of the three children in the home.

Authorities placed their nine-month-old baby, who tested positive for cocaine at a local hospital, under the custody of Child Welfare Services along with two other siblings. The siblings were later found to have tested positive for cocaine, according to the sheriff’s office.

The arrests happened the morning of April 15 after a Lindsay couple brought the 9-month-old to a local hospital for a high fever. Tests administered at the time showed the baby tested positive for cocaine, according to a Tulare County Sheriff’s office news release.

Detectives served a search warrant at the couple’s home in Lindsay about 5 a.m. Tuesday, where they found narcotics.

Flores and Willbanks are the biological parents of the baby, who was placed under the custody of Child Welfare Services along with two other children.
