Update: Suspect arrested on suspicion of killing man in Fresno, police say
Update: Police announced Thursday officers have arrested 38-year-old Adam Delacruz on suspicion of murder.
Original story: In an update to the suspicious death investigation Sunday morning, police say the victim was shot in the upper body and was found lying on the sidewalk.
Officers were called out to Tulare and B streets near a store at 7 a.m. for reports of a man who was dead.
Police later learned 64-year-old Abraham Tiggs was a member of the unhoused community and was captured on video around 11:40 p.m. Saturday walking south on B Street towards Tulare Street, where he collapsed.
Detectives believe the shooting occurred moments before Tiggs collapsed near the area of B Street and Mariposa Street and are canvassing the area and local businesses for witnesses and video footage.
