These community health and resource fairs are returning to Fresno County after hiatus
Free community health and resource fairs are returning to underserved and rural communities in Fresno County after a years-long hiatus due to the pandemic.
The fairs, held in the spring and fall throughout Fresno County, offer a “one-stop” approach to providing basic health services, health screenings, and resources to people in underserved neighborhoods and rural communities.
“It’s vital that we serve people where they are, especially those who live in underserved and rural areas,” said Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula, D-Fresno in a release.
The fairs will include immigration resources, education, legal services, social services, and more.
Arambula said the health fairs — which are a collaboration between cities, agencies such as Fresno State Mobile Health Unit and community-based organizations such as Central California Food Bank — aims to “help everyone improve their health and well-being.”
