Highway 41 will reduce to one lane in Kings County starting Sunday

A section of Highway 41 in Kings County will reduce to one lane for a pavement rehabilitation project that begins Sunday night, Caltrans said.

The affected area will be between the Highway 198 interchange and Kettleman City and will start each night at 7 p.m. and last until 6 a.m. then next morning. That section will be reduced until Aug. 14.

After that, there will be a different section of highway affected. Caltrans said the project will run until late October and will cause 15-minute delays for commuters. There will be new schedules for affected areas of the highway each week, Caltrans said.
