2 Fresno restaurants are among Yelp’s Top Places to Eat in 2025. Here’s where to go

Hungry? Two Fresno restaurants are among the best spots to grab a bite in the nation, according to Yelp.

The popular review website recently released its 2025 list of the Top 100 Restaurants in the United States.

According to Yelp, the nation’s best restaurants serve up award-winning dishes in unconventional settings.

“Across the US, chefs are crafting extraordinary dishes from fast-casual counters, food trucks,and crowded food halls” the website said.

Holbox in Los Angeles was the No. 1 restaurant in the nation, Yelp said, describing the Michelin Guide-rated Mexican restaurant as a top spot for seafood.

Yelp Elite reviewer Tiffany T. called Holbox “100% worth the hype,” adding that “everything from the scallops and ceviche to the octopus and tacos will just blow your mind.”

Twisted Gyros in Hillsboro, Oregon, came in second place, and De Babel in Scottsdale, Arizona, was third.

Why are Fresno restaurants among best in the nation?

Heirloom, 8398 North Fresno St. in Fresno, was No. 50 on Yelp’s list of the best restaurants in the nation.

The restaurant in Fresno’s Park Crossing shopping center has an average Yelp rating of 4.6 stars out of five, with reviewers praising its “great customer service” and “delicious homemade food.”

Yelp reviewer Kathryn S. of Los Angeles called the restaurant “top tier,” and Yelp user Judith C. of Arcadia said “it’s become one of my favorite food places here in Fresno.”

The restaurant’s menu features seasonal farm-to-table meals including mushroom taquitos, sesame salmon salad, ancho-crusted tri-tip and housemade baklava.

Starters range in price from $5 to $17, while entrees, which come with two sides, cost $16 to $35. Desserts are priced at $12 apiece.

Landing at No. 78 on Yelp’s list was Saizon, 2894 East Shepherd Ave. in Fresno at the Row at Heritage Grove.

The restaurant has an average Yelp rating of 4.4 stars, with reviewers calling out the “delicious and unique” food, “super-friendly servers” and “nice design.”

Yelp reviewer Rylan B. of Fresno called the restaurant “trendy and modern,” calling it “one of my go-to choices for any special occasion.”

“It’s beautiful inside and out,” Sheila K. of Clovis wrote in her Yelp review. “I definitely loved the vibes.”

Saizon’s menu features contemporary American dishes with Mexican influences, including chili-seared shrimp, beet carpaccio salad, miso-marinated black cod and heritage pork chops. For dessert, there’s ice cream sandwiches and sticky toffee pudding.

Starters and small plates range from $16 to $39, while entrees cost $29 to $39. Desserts are $12 each.

How did Yelp come up with its rankings?

To determine Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in 2025, Yelp’s data science team used the data generated from the community submissions.

Researchers considered both the rating and the volume of the reviews, while accounting for the overall restaurant activity in each business’s area.

Yelp narrowed the list down with the expertise of the community managers and Trend Expert.
