Electronic waste recycling event Saturday at Chukchansi Park
Electronic Recyclers International, the largest electronic waste recycling company in North America, is teaming up with Susan G. Komen Central Valley and the Fresno Grizzlies for an e-waste recycling collection event from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Chukchansi Park.
Outdated electronics such as computers, monitors, TVs, laptops, printers, cell phones and print cartridges will be accepted at no charge and with no limit. Items that contain data will go through ERI’s data destruction process. Batteries, light bulbs, lava lamps and nonelectrical equipment will not be taken.
Anyone who makes a donation at Chukchansi Park will receive a voucher for two field level reserve tickets for a Fresno Grizzlies home game Aug. 20-22. All of the event’s proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen Central Valley, which works to educate others about breast cancer and raise funds for screening, treatment and research.
Chukchansi Park is at 1800 Tulare St. Visitors are to enter at Tulare and H streets, where volunteers will help with dropping off electronics.
