A driver with a burned-out headlight was arrested on felony weapons charges after a traffic stop Monday night in central Fresno, police reported.

The incident took place just before midnight at Garland Avenue and Abby Street. A police spokesman said a traffic officer pulled over Hector Ramos Medina, 39, and learned Medina was driving with a suspended license and was a self-admitted Bulldog gang member.

Medina, arrested on charges of driving under the influence, also had a loaded 9 mm Smith & Wesson pistol in the car along with narcotics, police said. He was booked into Fresno County Jail.
