Temperatures in Fresno on Saturday are expected to stay above 100 degrees, the National Weather Service in Hanford said Friday.

However, meteorologist Gary Sanger said there’s a chance that a cooling trend could arrive and lower temperatures back into the double-digits. However, because Friday’s high temperature of 105 degrees was a few degrees hotter than expected, the weekend forecast was still being formulated at 9 p.m. Friday, he said.

There is a slight chance of thunder in the mountains and foothills this weekend, Sanger said.
