Fowler

One person was killed Saturday afternoon following a single-vehicle collision in Fowler.

The collision was reported at 12:30 p.m. at Tuolumne and 4th streets.

No details were given how the crash occurred but Fowler police said citizens came to the aid of the driver and administered CPR.

“Although this was a tragic event, the way our community members immediately rendered aid is an incredible testament to the quality of the people that call Fowler home,” Fowler Police Chief Michael Reid said. “Thank you. What I saw today makes me extremely proud to serve this community. I want to also thank Fresno County Fire for their quick response and for providing the best medical care possible. Great team effort to all as our thoughts and prayers go out to the family who suffered a devastating loss today.”
