Man killed crossing Fresno highway identified by coroner. Driver not at fault, CHP says

A man struck and killed while on foot on a Fresno highway was identified Friday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

The pedestrian was walking on the interchange between Highway 180 and Highway 41 about 10:45 a.m. Thursday, California Highway Patrol officer Mike Salas confirmed.

The coroner identified the man as John Amador, 52, of Fresno.

He was struck while running across the road from the north shoulder to the south, CHP said.

The driver in the collision was not at fault, Salas said.
