Black plume of smoke can be seen in Fresno after a large fire broke out Friday afternoon in Madera.

Fire crews responded to Smith’s Wrecking Yard, located on the 12000 block Road 29.

While no structures are threatened, deputies said multiple vehicles are fully engulfed that is causing the large smoke.

Deputies said “please use caution while emergency crews are working. Visibility in the area may be limited due to smoke, and traffic may be impacted. Plan alternate routes if possible.”

Cal Fire responded to the fire.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
