Fresno PD to give classes for Hispanic residents of Fresno
The Fresno Police Department will hold classes as part of the 2015 Hispanic Residents’ Academy every Monday at 6 p.m. from Aug. 18 until Oct. 12, officials said.
Classes will be held in the Ted C. Wills Community Center at 770 N. San Pablo Ave. in Fresno. Incoming students will learn how the Fresno Police Department functions. Spanish-speaking officers will share their knowledge of law enforcement with students.
Over 275 Spanish-speaking citizens have completed the program and gained a better understanding of how the Fresno Police Department works, officials said.
