One driver was killed Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision in Clovis.

Officers responded to the collision at 2:14 p.m. in the intersection of Herndon and Helm avenues.

Clovis police spokesman Ty Wood said a driver was eastbound on Herndon, and crossed over the center median into the westbound lanes and collided with two vehicles that were westbound Herndon.

The driver who crossed over the median was pronounced dead at the scene, Wood said.

Another driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and two people in the third vehicle were not injured, Wood said.

Herndon is expected to be closed between Helm and Willow for at least two hours while we investigate.
