Boy, 13, struck by mini-van east of Fresno
A 13-year-old boy sustained major injuries Thursday evening when he was struck by a mini-van east of Fresno, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred about 5:55 p.m. as the boy and a friend were riding bicycles south on Temperance Avenue north of Church Avenue. A Sanger woman was southbound on the same road in the 2006 Toyota. The CHP said the boy turned in front of the mini-van and was struck. He was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
No other details were released.
