Kaweah Delta board seeking applications
The application deadline has been extended until Aug. 1 for the open Zone 1 seat on the Kaweah Delta Health District board of directors.
The board is seeking someone to serve as a member for the remainder of the term of Jonathan Graves, who resigned June 18. Graves relocated his primary residence outside of Zone 1, which no longer qualifies him to represent that area.
The board plans to make an appointment prior to Aug. 17. The term runs through Dec. 2, 2016. An election will be held on Nov. 8, 2016, to fill the office for a four-year term. The person appointed by the board to serve the remainder of Graves’ term is eligible to run for the office in the election.
To be eligible for appointment an individual must be a resident of Zone 1 (boundaries generally encompass northeast Visalia and portions of Ivanhoe). Information about the boundaries is available by calling (555) 624-2330.
Interested parties should submit a confidential résumé, no later than Aug. 1, to: Kaweah Delta Health Care District, c/o P.O. Box 2685, Visalia, Calif., 93279.
