Fresno deputies find two after searches

Fresno sheriff’s deputies and the Eagle One helicopter Wednesday morning found a kayaker who was reported missing by his brother after he didn’t show up for work, spokesman Tony Botti said. The missing man was found near the Kings River between Piedra and Winton Park. Botti said the kayaker became trapped on a weir but managed to get back to his vehicle.

It was the second search in two days. Tuesday, a 17-year-old girl who became separated from her family near Edison Lake was located by the Fresno County Sheriff’s search and rescue unit. She was in good condition, Botti said.
