43-year-old pedestrian killed in a collision in central Fresno, police say

A woman was killed Monday night when she was struck by a vehicle in central Fresno.

Officers with the Fresno Police Department responded to West Clinton and North Channing avenues around 6:20 p.m. and found a 43-year-old woman in the roadway.

Police said she sustained injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with officers. Police added that the woman that was struck is currently listed as being at fault in the collision.

Police said there are no signs of any intoxication.
