Fire closes Highway 41 in Madera County
A grass fire shut down Highway 41 Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The fire started about 9 a.m. near Road 406 and Highway 41. The highway closure began an hour later.
The CHP reported around noon that the highway will reopen within the hour. Crews were mopping up the last fire remnants.
