Pedestrian struck in Fresno intersection. Driver charged with felony hit-and-run, DUI
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and DUI after police said he struck a pedestrian at a Fresno intersection Thursday night.
The pedestrian, identified as a man in his 40s, was taken the hospital and was in stable condition.
According to police, witnesses saw the pedestrian step from the center median of Cedar and Shields avenues around 9 p.m. He was struck by an SUV, which then kept driving.
Police began searching, and found, the suspect vehicle and arrested the driver, who was booked into the Fresno County jail.
