Two vehicles collide in Hanford, driver and passenger suffer injuries
Two vehicles collided in Hanford, resulting in an injured driver and passenger.
Three Hanford residents were involved in the Monday collision, which occurred at 12:40 p.m. Alicia Gutierrez Rubio, 53, was driving westbound on Lacey Boulevard in a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado, approaching Country Lane. At the same time Arturo Perez Jr., 20, was driving eastbound on Lacey Boulevard approaching Country Lane in a 1997 Ford F-150. Rodrigo Rubio, 16, was a passenger in Perez Jr.’s car.
Alicia Gutierrez Rubio was driving on the wrong side of the roadway, resulting in a head-on collision with Perez Jr.
Passenger Rodrigo Rubio suffered major injuries and was transported by Skylife to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Alicia Gutierrez Rubio had minor injuries. Perez Jr. was unharmed.
The collision still remains under investigation. Drug or alcohol impairment do not appear to be a factor.
