Power outage hits east-central Fresno. Drivers are urged to use caution with signals out

Power outage

About 2,500 customers were left without power early Saturday afternoon near Fresno Yosemite International Airport, PG&E reported.

The outage was in an area from Ashlan Avenue to the north to Belmont Avenue to the south, and Clovis Avenue to the west and Temperance Avenue to the east.

PG&E was assessing the cause of the outage and estimated that power would be restored by about 7:30 p.m.

Traffic lights also were out in the area, police reported, and drivers were urged to use caution.
