Semi overturns on Highway 41 south of Fresno

A semi-truck headed north on Highway 41 near East Mountain View Avenue, about 17 miles south of Fresno, flipped on its side Friday afternoon, coming to rest in the southbound lane.

The California Highway Patrol incident website, which first posted the accident at 12:15 p.m., described witnesses attempting to break a window on the truck to pull the driver to safety. It also reported the driver bleeding from his arm.

Cal Fire and medical personnel responded to the accident. Drivers traveling on Highway 41 should expect delays.
