Coroner ID’s Fresno man killed in Friant Road rollover crash. Two women had major injuries

A Fresno man was identified by the coroner’s office Monday after he was killed Friday evening in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Friant Road.

He was identified as 42-year-old Jonathan Crosbie.

The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. roughly two miles north of where Willow Avenue merges into Friant.

The California Highway Patrol said the vehicle went off the road through a barbed wire fence before rolling a couple of times and coming to a stop.

Crosbie was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Three female passengers were taken to a hospital with injuries, CHP said.

A 32-year-old Coarsegold woman and a 29-year-old Visalia woman had major injuries and a 34-year-old Fresno woman had minor injuries.

It wasn’t immediately known what caused the crash. It also was not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to call CHP at 559-262-0400.
