Update: Woman with dementia who went missing found safe in Fresno County, deputies say
Update: An at-risk woman who went missing in Fresno County was found, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday morning.
“Isabel Gomez has been found,” the office said in an announcement about 6:45 a.m. Thursday. “She is in good health and has been reunited with family.”

Isabel Alvarado Gomez, 81, was last seen around 3 p.m. on Wednesday near Clinton and Fowler avenues in east-central Fresno. She drove away in a 2013 white Hyundai Sonata with a disabled person’s California license plate 006LW.
Gomez is 5 feet tall, 160 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing a gray jacket and black pants. She has reportedly been diagnosed with dementia.
