Motorcyclist seriously injured after crashing into vehicle on Fresno highway
A motorcyclist was injured Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on a Fresno highway.
The collision happened at 1:47 p.m. when a motorcyclist on a Harley Davidson was traveling westbound on Highway 180, east of Peach Avenue.
California Highway Patrol Sgt. Nicholas Norton said the rider rear-ended a Chevrolet Silverado truck and was ejected in the No. 2 lane.
The 46-year-old rider was unconscious when emergency personnel arrived. He was taken to a local hospital with major injuries.
His condition was not known as of Saturday night.
The driver remained on scene, Norton said.
Alcohol and drugs are not a factor in the collision, CHP said.
The investigation is ongoing.
