A traffic light on a main road in northwest Fresno was knocked out in a two-vehicle collision Friday morning.

The crash involved two vehicles at Shaw and Maroa avenues around 10:35 a.m., knocking down the light pole and blocking traffic.

Traffic in the area was being diverted.

California Highway Patrol spokesman Mike Salas said a Toyota Camry was westbound on Shaw Avenue before running a red light, striking a Subaru that was traveling southbound on Maroa.

Two people in the Camry and one in the Subaru had minor injuries. No one was taken to the hospital.

A work crew arrived to the scene to fix the light.
