Coroner ID’s woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Fresno County. Children were injured
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the Fresno woman killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.
Rajwinder Kaur, 44, died in the crash around 10 a.m. near the intersection of South Clovis and East Jefferson avenues.
A Chevrolet Malibu and Mercedes Benz sedan collided on southbound Clovis Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Kaur, who was the front passenger in the Mercedes, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A total of six people were reported injured, including three children and a teenager.
Two children, between 2 and 4 years, were rushed to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition, and another child and a teenager suffered serious injuries.
The children were passengers in the Mercedes, whose driver also suffered major injuries. Six people were in the Mercedes.
CHP said investigators believe the children treated at CRMC suffered serious injuries because they weren’t in a car seat or booster seat.
Drugs, alcohol and foggy weather conditions were not a factor into the crash.
